Bro. Lee is taking on his first pastorate after spending 10 years in the ministry. Previous to joing Hazel Dell Baptist. he has served in the areas of youth, children, college, Sr. Adult, Men's ministry and associate Pastor at Okmulgee 2nd Baptist, Wagoner FBC and South Lindsay Baptist in OKC.
Bro. Lee is a 1992 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University. He is active in the Pott-Lincoln Baptist Association where he currently serves as PLBA's Chairman of the Nominating Committee, Prayer Director and is a member of the Strategic Planning team.
Bro. Lee also serves on the Board of Trustees for Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children as well as being the Oklahoma Baptist University tennis team pastor in the Champions of Character program.
Gene and Dawn Crnkovic have led the Music Ministry at Hazel Dell since January 04,2004. Gene is the General Manager at Seminole Ford-Mercury. He has a long history of music leadership dating back to his high school days as leader of the youth choir in his local church. Dawn has her B.A. in Music Education from the University of New Mexico and is the vocal Director at Tecumseh High School.
Gene is heavily involved in the community through the Shawnee, Tecumseh, and Seminole Chambers of Commerce. As a member of the Agri-business committee he helps sponsor the annual Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show, as well as various other committees and projects throughout the year. Gene was recently elected to the Tecumseh City Council. Gene is also vice-chairman of the East Central Workforce Investment Board for five counties and is a past board member of the Seminole, Shawnee, and Tecumseh Chambers of Commerce.
Gene is a Trustee and staff support team member for the Pott-Lincoln Baptist Association and steering committee member for the annual Central Oklahoma Deacon Ministry Conference. He was also elected to the Board of Directors for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma for the term beginning in 2008.
Gene is a member of the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma, a group of over 300 music ministers from around the State of Oklahoma that perform monthly concerts and have spread the gospel through missions in Russia, China, Australia, and traveled to Armenia and Israel in April 2009. Gene and Dawn also participate in a small performing group known as His Way. Gene and Dawn have been sponsors for the Baptist Allstate mission trips to Phoenix and Chicago.
Dawn is well known in music circles around the state as her choirs have won many awards and contests. She has also been requested to accompany guest clinicians for the High School Choir at the East Central Oklahoma Choral Directors Association annual competition.
At home, Gene and Dawn enjoy their two children, Dawn's mother who lives with them, many pets, and some cattle. "We have been used by God wherever we go and hope that we can help others to be blessed as we have been blessed."
